Welcome Sunday's guest preacher, Erin S. Cox-Holmes! Erin has been the Executive Presbyter at Presbytery of Donegal since 2010. She graduated from the University of Redlands in 1980 with a degree in English and Religion. She received her Master of Divinity from Earlham School of Religion, and was ordained in the Presbytery of Detroit. She received her Doctor of Ministry from Dubuque Theological Seminary, with a focus on revitalizing the church and worship in the digital age.
Our Director of Children & Family Ministries, Jill Reichert, sends out seasonal newsletters and weekly (ish) email updates to keep you informed about what is happening in Children & Family Ministries. If you and your children (or grandchildren!) are connected to Westminster, but you are not receiving the regular email contacts from Jill, one of two things may be happening: our emails may be going to your junk folder. Please check for them there and mark the emails as “Not Junk." You also may not yet be on the email list, and we need to add you. Let’s get all of our children, parents/guardians, and grandparents in the loop! By the same token, if you are receiving them and the content no longer applies to you and your family for any reason, please let us know that, as well. Contact Jill Reichert to get connected.
Registration is now available for Childcare (6-36 months), WeeConnect (3-4 years old), and KidsConnect (K-5thgrade) for fall Sunday morning classes! Click here to register. Even if you have registered in the past, please complete a new registration for the upcoming year.
Progress has been made in the investigation of the check stealing ring, which has impacted churches in the region including Westminster. While an arrest was made locally this past week, we are hesitant to say the case has been solved, as it has been a widespread issue. We encourage you to be vigilant in monitoring your monthly bank and giving statements for checks written. We endorse all Giving checks with a WPC stamp, therefore, you can easily determine if we received your check. We strongly advise members to use our online giving platform to avoid sending checks through the mail, and online giving improves efficiency in processing donations. Please contact our Finance Director, Sandy Kurek at (610) 399-3377 x112 if you would like help in setting up online giving. We are also considering other options with our bank to minimize this risk going forward.
Help us celebrate 20 years of serving the West Chester Food Cupboard by bringing donation(s) of food to the Sanctuary on Sunday. If you ever donated food, diapers, personal care items, volunteered at the WCFC, or prayed for this ministry, we invite you to sign the banner in the Narthex which will be presented to the WCFC at the end of the month.
