Drivers Needed for Food Ministry

The Baptist Church of West Chester provides transportation to and from the West Chester Food Cupboard. We want to expand our witness by increasing their pool of volunteer drivers. The time commitment ranges from 30-90 minutes. This ministry assists WC Food Cupboard clients to receive the full amount of monthly groceries. Questions or want to volunteer, call Donna Dunn at 610-696-7466.

Summer Mission - Fill a Backpack

June 23, June 30, July 7 & July 14
Send a child back to school well prepared through Bridge Academy and other programs in the Coatesville area. Pick up a backpack in the Narthex on Sunday, June 23 or June 30. Fill it with school supplies and bring it back to the church by July 14. Questions? Contact Laura Davis. 

Summer Reading Books Now in the WPC Library

The three books (The Tech-Wise Family, Searching for Sunday, and Waking Up White) for our congregational summer reading are now available at our library, and located above the center bookcase. Enjoy reading the books over this summer. The library increased its loan period to six weeks over the summer months.

Show Your School Spirit

June 16 in Spellman Hall
The Emerging Generation Vision Team invites you to School Spirit Sunday on June 16! Wear your (or your child or grandchild) school wear as a means to connect with others. We hope that school spirit facilitates conversations and connections over sticky buns. Any post-high school individual interested in hearing from their Westminster family while pursuing their next endeavor, whether college or job-bound, are asked to share their contact info at the table in Spellman Hall. Urgent Plea from Family Promise

Family Promise is in need of evening hosts for Friday and Saturday! You'll spend time with homeless families eating dinner, relaxing and resting at Westminster. Family Promise helps homeless families get back on their feet. Families spend their days at a resource center, working with staff on job applications, budgets, childcare, and other things.Click here to signup. Questions? Wear Red, Yellow or Orange on Sunday

Pentecost is this Sunday, June 9. Celebrate by wearing red, yellow or orange to church. Pentecost is 50 days after Easter. It reminds us when the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other languages, sending them out to share Jesus' story.

Looking for something to read at the beach? Travel Size Toiletries Needed for DC

The Intergenerational Washington DC Mission Trip is collecting travel size toiletries for hygiene kits. They will share these kits with individuals living on the streets of DC, who do not have access to such necessities. The items needed are travel size shampoo, conditioner, soaps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and razors. Items will be collected in bins around the church through Sunday, July 7th. Questions? Library Receives New Books

Our library is thankful for the generosity and support of our Library Gifting Tree! The result: twenty-one brand new books on our shelves and cash gifts to buy more! Shout out to those who donated so many gently used books! We’ve kept some and donated the rest to our thrift store and other churches. What a joy to be able to share them all with you!
