Thrift Shop Closed this Weekend

The Westminster Thrift Shop will be closed Thursday through Monday. They will reopen on Tuesday, June 1 in observance of Memorial Day, remembering and honoring the men and women who died in the service of our country.  Enjoy the Memorial Day holiday and stay safe.

Endowment Grant Deadline June 4!

Looking for funds to help support a project or program? Know a religious or charitable purpose that would advance Westminster's mission? Then apply for a grant and Westminster Endowment can help! Next grant deadline is June 4th.  Click here to learn more. For help and support in applying, contact Rich Birkenmaier.

Pentecost Offering

We are collecting donations for the Pentecost Offering. A portion of the money will stay with Westminster to support Covenant House Philadelphia, while the remainder of funds will be sent to the PC(USA) to support programs related to children, youth, and young adults. You will receive a letter in the mail at the beginning of June with further information as well as your Pentecost Offering envelope.

Task Force May Update

We are making progress!! We are increasing worship capacity to 100 this Sunday, and anticipate increasing further after May 31. Choir members are welcome to sit in the loft if they would like, which increases our capacity. We will allow vaccinated soloists/band singers to unmask to sing if they are distanced from the congregation. The Deacons are planning for a Strawberry Festival in late June, the choir is planning an outdoor rehearsal in June. Small groups are meeting. Slowly but surely we are regathering in person!
We would appreciate knowing what percentage of the congregation has been vaccinated. If you are willing to share your status, please update your Realm profile with that information. Click here to watch a step-by-step video on how to do that as well as adding a personal picture or updating an outdated one.  If you can't log into your Realm profile, email Lynn George.

Register for In Person Worship in May!

  • Congregational singing not allowed.
  • Handshaking and hugging not allowed.

As part of your registration, you'll be asked to agree to our protocols and confirming the number of people registering from your household. After registering, you'll receive a confirmation email with the subject "---- Worship Registration Confirmation & What to Expect!" so check your spam or junk folders if you don't see that soon after registering! If you don't receive that email, contact the church office for help registering. You do not need to bring the email with you - we will have your name on our list.

Remember that there are a limited number of seats for each service (80 in the Sanctuary) so please only register if you/your household plan on being there. If you attend a Sunday morning service in May, please give others time to register before registering for another Sunday morning service. If you need help registering or to make a change/cancel your reservation, please contact Barb Drain.
For the services with communion:  You can pick up individual prepackaged communion elements as you walk in the Narthex.  Click here to learn how to open them.  (It’s a little tricky.) The pre-packaged communion wafer is NOT gluten free. You can bring your own elements from home if you prefer. We ask you to immediately put your mask back on once you partake of the elements.
