Connie and her husband Bill, have four children and seven grandchildren. They have been members of Westminster since 2015. Connie is a member of the Chancel Choir, the Wednesday evening study group, and leads the Presbyterian Women’s Bible study at Maris Grove. She volunteers with Family Promise and other mission outreach, and supports a medical clinic in Honduras. As a travel agent for 35 years, Connie designed and escorted Christian tours in Europe, Tur-key and Israel. She was ordained an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church, and served as Clerk of Session.
Betsy Ballantyne has been a member of Westminster for 42 years (with an 18-year hiatus while her late husband, Rev. David Ballantyne, was pastoring churches). Betsy has served Westminster as a youth advisor and currently as an elder. (She lives in Elverson with her Blue Heeler, Syd, and near her son David and her daughter Liza's family of husband Albert and grandsons Aiden, Ben, and Blake.) Betsy taught school for 37 years, 34 of them for Chester County Intermediate Unit. She enjoys antiquing, refurbishing furniture, cooking, traveling, quilting, and recycling and repurposing old things into useful and attractive new ones, and, of course, riding her horse, Mandarin.
Rich has been a member of Westminster for 17 years. He and his wife, Chris live in West Chester where they raised Jeff and Anne who are now adults. Rich has served in many capacities including CREDO leader, Sunday School Pre-K teacher, Youth Vision member, Sunday Night Youth Group volunteer. He has been to Honduras as part of the Youth-to-Youth partnership and has hosted our Honduran friends twice. Rich is an Endowment Board member. He enjoys attending A Gathering of Men and men’s retreats. Rich manages a computer programming group that supports clinical trial research for Pfizer.
Laura has attended Westminster for 15 years and has served Westminster on the Children’s Spiritual Growth committee, the Youth Vision Team, Family Promise, and as a Vacation Bible School leader and a Sunday school teacher. She and her husband Bill live in Chester Springs and have three children Matthew, Alex, and Olivia. Laura is a stay-at-home mom and enjoys walking and going to the beach.
Diane has attended Westminster for 21 years and has been a member for 13. Diane serves on the CSG Team and teaches Sunday School. She is a member of the communion committee and the thrift shop board. Diane has served as a Deacon and on the anti-human trafficking advocacy working group. She is the Legislative Liaison to the Chester County Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition. Diane and husband Brian live in West Chester. Diane is an attorney in the Law department of Saint-Gobain in Malvern. She enjoys reading, walking, traveling, attending the theater, and volunteering.
Joe and his wife Cristina have attended Westminster since 2016. They reside in Unionville and have three children, Jill, Jason, and Matt and two grandsons, Brady and Chase. Joe serves on the Stewardship Committee, the Men’s Retreat Planning Team, and participates in A Gathering of Men and Broad Street Ministry. Joe and Cristina are owners of their printing and business development consulting business. Joe enjoys golf, fishing, hiking, gardening and the outdoors.
Angela and her husband, Eric have been members of Westminster for 19 years. They have two daughters and a son. Angela serves as co-chair of the Outreach committee. Angela has previously served on Youth Vision, and participated in the Honduras and Mexico mission trips. Angela volunteers with Family Promise, the West Chester Food Cupboard as well as the Giving Tree and Rise Against Hunger meal packaging. She enjoys exercising, walking, hiking and reading.
Gary has been a member of Westminster for over 30 years. Gary currently serves on the nominating committee, hosts a bi-weekly small group at his home, coordinates a team for Good Works, and co-teaches high school Sunday school. Gary works at Ampro Sports in Delaware County and enjoys spending time with his four children and five grandchildren.
Monica has been a member of Westminster for 13 years. Monica and her husband, Kevin, live in West Chester and have three children, Shane, Olivia, and Hope. She has served on the Youth Director search committee, and volunteers with Sunday School, youth retreats, Rise Against Hunger and Broad Street Ministry. Monica is an operations and program management executive and enjoys spending her free time supporting her family at their sporting events, doing yoga, reading, and gardening. Monica is a member of Impact100 Philadelphia, a non-profit women’s collective giving organization, which this year made three $100k grants and two $40k grants.
Gary and his wife Sandy have been members of Westminster for over 25 years. They have a daughter Amanda, who is married and lives in Denver, CO. Gary has taught Sunday School, volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, participates in Wednesday night Men’s group, and served on the Preschool Board, 2018 Vision Team, as a Trustee and currently is a member of the Home Team. Gary is a retired Certified Public Accountant with 30 years of experience in various financial roles.
Scott and his wife Erin have been members of Westminster since 2010 and have four children: Lacey, Maxwell, Julia, and Nicholas. He sings in the Chancel Choir, teaches Sunday school, and has been active in the Saturday Men’s Group. He has served as a trustee of Bethel Hill United Methodist Church and on the vestry of St. Paul’s Within-the-Walls in Rome, Italy. Scott is a professional scientist and is CEO of Tiptek, LLC.
Dan and his wife, Linda Irwin, live in Kennett Square and have been members of Westminster since 2007. He is the owner of a professional design firm, sits on the Board of Directors of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers and is a former elected councilman for the Borough of Kennett Square. Dan sings regularly with the Chancel Choir and is a former Nominating Committee member.
Ed was born and raised in a Westminster family and has served Westminster in numerous positions—as a youth leader, Chancel Choir president, trustees president, and currently, Clerk of Session. He has also helped with planning and Sunday school. In addition, Ed was co-chair of the committee that facilitated Westminster’s move from West Chester borough to our current location. Ed and his wife Diane live in East Bradford Township and have two sons, Chris and Ben. Ed is a vice president at Woolridge Organization at Hershey’s Mill and enjoys model railroads, tennis, walking, and hiking.
Terri has been a member of Westminster for five years. Terri and her husband live in Wilmington, Delaware, and have two sons, Thomas and Zachary. Terri serves on the Women’s Retreat planning team and is a co-chair of both the Outreach Committee and Serving our Neighbors Vision Team. Terri enjoys mission work, volunteering for Wilmington Flower Market, gardening, hiking, and cooking.
Burt Rothenberger has been a member of Westminster for over 30 years. Burt has served on Westminster’s Outreach committee, and currently he serves on the church personnel and advocacy committees and leads the Saturday Men’s Spiritual Growth Group. He and his wife Gail live in Pocopson and have two grown children and two grandchildren. Burt is retired and enjoys gardening, tennis, and volunteering.
Cathryn has been a member of Westminster for 18 years. She and her husband Eric live in Chadds Ford, and have three children. Cathryn works for the University of Delaware in Development and Alumni Engagement and as an adjunct faculty member in the Lerner School of Business. Cathryn has served as a Sunday School teacher, a VBS volunteer and on the ASG Committee. She is an active volunteer for Safe Harbor and loves gardening, traveling, the arts and rescuing dogs.
Lynae has been a member of Westminster for over 15 years. She is an ordained Deacon, has been active in Mother’s Group, Wednesday morning Bible studies, and has participated on mission trips. She also co-coordinated the New Members Class for several years. She currently serves on the Personnel Committee. Lynae and her husband Roy live in Glen Mills with their two sons. She enjoys playing tennis, hiking with their two dogs, spending time with family and friends, and serving God.
Sam has been a member of Westminster for 12 years. Sam and his spouse, John live in Hershey’s Mill in West Chester. He currently serves Westminster as a faithful usher both on Sunday and for many of the special concerts. Sam volunteers at Broad Street Ministry. He enjoys gardening, traveling, cooking and spending time with friends.
Susan has been a member of Westminster for 17 years. She has served Westminster as a deacon, six-year member on the Outreach committee, usher, communion preparer, Vacation Bible School volunteer, and leader of the Gleaning Garden and Creek Clean-Up. Sue and her husband Martin live in West Chester and have two cats, London and Tabitha. Sue is a dental hygienist and enjoys volunteering with Faithful Friends Animal Society, gardening, reading, skiing, and serving our Lord through the many opportunities WPC offers to express His love.
Cristina has been a member of Westminster for two years. She and her husband Joe live in Unionville and have three children and two grandsons. Cristina helps plan Mission Possible, and participates in summer choir and the loss and grief support group. She is an active member of the Rotary Club and her mission work has taken her to Honduras, Belize, and Guatemala. She works as a fundraising consultant and event planner for nonprofits and is expanding her career into real estate. Cristina enjoys reading, music, golf, exploring the great outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
Joanne has been a member of Westminster for one year after relocating to the area from Tampa, Florida. Joanne and her spouse Rex live in Hershey’s Mill in West Chester. In Florida, she completed the two year vigorous Diakonia Deacon course and was a Parish Nurse. They have two married children and six grandchildren. She is a member of the Chancel Choir, and a Thrift Shop and Global Leadership volunteer. Joanne is a retired clinical director from GlaxoSmith-Kline and an auditor for the pharmaceutical industry.
Carol has been a member of Westminster since 1985. She was ordained as a Deacon serving for two terms and served as moderator for the one-year term. Carol is active in Bible studies, recently assisted in VBS, and has enjoyed playing in our handbell choir for over 20 years.
Jane has been a member of Westminster for four years. She and her husband Roger live in West Chester and have 3 grown daughters-Lindsay, Natalie, and Courtney. Jane has served Westminster on the Emerging Generations committee and the Library committee. She is a preschool teacher at the First Presbyterian Church Bucket School and volunteers with Meals on Wheels. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cycling, hiking and traveling.
Shawn and her son Noah have been members of WPC since 1999. Shawn has served in the nursery, Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, and as Deacon. She has volunteered with KidsJAM, Pittsburgh Project, and the youth auction. As a 5th grade teacher for the West Chester Area School District, Shawn enjoys helping others and is humbled to be serving as a Deacon where she is happy to be touching the lives of others as others have greatly impacted her.
Karen has been a member of Westminster for 45 years. She and her husband Paul live in West Chester and have two adult children, Laura and Mark. Karen has served as a Deacon, preschool board member, and participates with VBS, Bible studies and the Chancel Choir. She is a retired RN from Chester County Hospital and enjoys playing her clarinet, gardening and spending time with her four grandchildren.
Jean has been a member of Westminster since 1985 and has sung with the Chancel Choir for many years. She taught Literature and Rhetoric at several local universities and colleges. She volunteers as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher. She lives in East Bradford. She has four children, Kate, Stephanie, Dan, and Alex and six grandchildren. She loves reading, cooking, and music.
Demaree joined Westminster in 2007. She has been a member of a Bible study and has been a Sunday School teacher and assistant for students in Kindergarten to 5th grade and Middle School. She previously served as a Deacon.
Sue is a West Chester native. She worked in banking and the insurance fields, helped manage apartment buildings and her ex-husband’s plumbing business. She is the proud mother of a son and daughter and lives in Downingtown. Sue has been a member of Westminster for 10 years. She loves helping with worship in the homes, and attending the women retreats and Wednesday night bible study.
Kathie has attended Westminster for the past two years. She served as a Deacon and a Parish Nurse before joining Westminster. She has been a nurse for 41 years and has worked at Chester County Hospital for the past 36 years. Kathie is married to Jim; they have three children and live in West Bradford. Kathie feels service to others is Sacred Work.
Nancy has been a member for two years, lives in West Goshen and serves as secretary of the West Goshen Historical Commission. She has three children, two stepsons and seven grandchildren. She retired from Conectiv Energy in Wilmington, DE (Pepco Holdings, now part of Exelon) where she was the Collateral Manager. Nancy serves extended communion, is a greeter, secretary of the Deacons, and a Stephen Minister. She attends the Wednesday morning Bible Study and enjoys volunteering, reading, and spending time with her family.
Grace has been a member of Westminster for six years. She and her husband live in West Chester and together have three adult children and six grandchildren. She serves Westminster as a deacon and on the New Members Committee. She enjoys helping out on various outreach ministries. Grace is a retired middle school teacher and enjoys reading, walking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Betsy has been a member of Westminster for four years. She lives in West Goshen and has two adult children and three grandchildren. She leads the new members class, is on the Thrift Shop Committee and joined the Wednesday Morning Bible Study. Betsy retired after 25 years as an administrative assistant with the West Chester Area School District. She volunteers at the Brandywine Auxiliary of Penn Chester County Hospital and enjoys reading, gardening, and taking classes at Immaculata University.
Ellen has been a member of Westminster for four years. She and Brian live in Kennett Square and have four children, Ken, Craig, Cory and Melissa. Ellen retired after 30 years of teaching elementary school, and currently works part-time as an administrative assistant for an interior designer. She has volunteered for Delaware Hospice’s Camp New Hope (a bereavement camp for children), Broad Street Ministry, and Family Promise. Ellen enjoys golf, boot camp classes, watching sports, and traveling with her husband.
Carol has been a member of Westminster for 30 years. She lives in East Goshen and has five children and 17 grandchildren. Carol has been involved in WPW Thursday Circle, Lunch Bunch, the Knitting Group, the Memorial Committee, Monday counting, and Deacons. She started a fellowship group for widowed persons. She is a retired company financial manager. Her interests are cooking, crafts and entertaining family.
Courtney has attended Westminster with her family her entire life, beginning with the nursery and preschool. She is currently a junior at Downingtown West High School. Courtney has been very active in the church. She sang in the Cherub choir, KidsJAM, and is currently in the Youth Choir. She attends youth group regularly, was a participant as well as a volunteer in VBS, completed the CREDO confirmation class, and attended many Youth retreats. Courtney looks forward to serving the church community as a junior Deacon!
Suzanne and her husband, Brett, have been members of Westminster since 2002. She has two children, Maddie and Courtney. She worked in IT for Verizon and now teaches a four year old Pre-K class inWestminster’s Preschool. Suzanne was involved in Mother’s Group, and is still very active in the
Westminster community. She served on the Preschool Board for six years and was VP for two, was a leader in VBS for twelve years, served on the Nominating Committee, and volunteered for many youth activities.
Clara has been a member of Westminster since 2007 having come from the Dilworthtown church plant. She lives in West Chester with her husband, Darrell, and their two girls, Katie (13) and Rachel (9). Clara served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and as a member of the Westminster Preschool Board of Directors for six years. She works in Product Management for an employee experience tech company.
Jean has been a member of Westminster for 17 years. She and Doug live in Glen Mills and have two adult children, Andrew and Allison. She has served as Co-coordinator for Family Promise since its inception at Westminster 4 years ago. She previously served on the Interiors Committee and participates in the Tuesday Morning Women’s Small Group. She is a former registered nurse who “retired” many years ago to be a stay at home mom. She currently volunteers at Ronald McDonald house, enjoys reading, traveling and spending time outdoors with her family and dogs.
Kim has been a member of Westminster for 19 years. Kim and Rich live in West Chester and have two kids in college, Logan and Maren. Kim has served Westminster as a Sunday School teacher, sTones and RockabouT coordinator, Youth Vision Team and Children’s Spiritual Growth team member, VBS volunteer and a Nominat-ing Committee member. She also serves on the Mission Possible team, and has participated in WPW Circle, Mom’s Group, dinner group and various Bible studies. Kim is a preschool teacher at Goshen Friends School and enjoys being in two book clubs, taking long walks with friends and spending time with her family.
Pam and her husband, Bill, live in West Chester, and have three grown children and four grandchildren. They have attended Westminster for 12 years. Bill is retired and Pam is still teaching at the Benchmark School in Media. In her free time she loves to read, work out at the gym, and go to college field hockey and football games with Bill. They have supported charities that help battered women, autistic children, education for women at Riker’s Island co-run by her daughter, and educational lecture series at several schools.
Patricia has been a member of Westminster for 14 years. She lives in East Goshen with her husband, Michael, and two children, Isabelle and Quintin. She has served Westminster as a Sunday school teacher, VBS volunteer, Children’s Spiritual Growth Team member, Mom’s Group leader and member, Women’s Retreat committee member, and Giving Tree volunteer. Patricia currently works for Matlack Florist in West Chester.
Nancy and her husband Bob have been members of Westminster since 1995 and Nancy has served as an usher the entire time. She enjoys making Christmas Eve dinners for the Chancel Choir and serving dinners at Safe Harbor. Nancy has many years of catering experience both privately and commercially and feels she can contribute and assist in many of Westminster’s fellowship functions. Nancy and Bob have one son, Matt who is married to Angela, and two grandchildren, John and Lila. She is very honored to be considered as a candidate for deacon.
Nick has been a member of Westminster for three years. He has two adult children and three grandchildren, and live in West Chester. Nick is currently a Stephen Minister, a leader in the Tuesday Morning Fellowship Group, a member of the Gathering of Men, and helps with the Men’s Annual Retreat and the Golf Outing. Nick was an Executive and Consultant to major corporations, educational institutions, politicians and non-profits in the fields of Marketing, Crisis Management, Public Opinion and Public Policy Research for nearly 50 years. Nick enjoys teaching, writing, golf, dining with friends, and collecting Lionel trains and American coins.
Paul has been a member of Westminster for 20 years. Paul and Susan live in West Chester and have two daughters, Julia and Kristina. He has served Westminster on the Nominating Committee, Dilworthtown start-up team, in the sound booth, a kitchen volunteer and youth chaperone. He has participated in Men’s Fellowship, Dinner Group and Small Group Bible studies. Paul is a civil engineer and owns a Forensic Engineering Consulting company. He enjoys golf, dining, beer and live music.
Susan has been a member of Westminster for 23 years. She and her husband, Paul live in West Chester and have two adult daughters. Susan served as a Sunday School teacher, KidsJAM helper, Youth Vision Team member, CREDO leader, and VBS volunteer. She has been on the nominating and Family Promise committees. She participated in WPW Monday Circle, dinner group, youth trips, and Bridge of Hope mento-ring team. Susan was a case manager for adults with disabilities and works part-time “keeping the books” for Paul’s business. She enjoys reading, spending time with family, volunteering, and attending events in the community.
Mary Jane Anders has been a member of Westminster for 28 years. She has served Westminster as a trustee and usher and as a member of the preschool board, Worship and Arts team, nominating committee, and communion team. Mary Jane and her husband Bruce live in Pocopson and have eight children and three grandchildren: Evelyn, Kaiser, and Leland. Mary Jane works as an SAP integration lead and service delivery manager at The Chemours Company. She enjoys gardening, antiquing, and playing the piano.
Scott has been a long-time attendee of Westminster and a member for more than seven years. He has served Westminster as a trustee and member of the property committee for over five years. Scott and his wife Jennifer live in West Chester and have three daughters, Maddie, Rachel, and Becca. Scott is in the Store Development Group at Wawa, Inc. where he has managed the Petroleum Operations Group and now the Facilities Team for nearly 20 years. He is also a township supervisor for Birmingham Twp., PA. Scott enjoys softball and boating.
Steve and his wife, Mary, started attending Westminster in 2006. Steve is a retired hospital administrator, having spent 41 years in healthcare management, the last 32 serving as CEO of several hospitals and systems. Steve began ushering as soon as he joined the church and has since become a head usher. Steve and Mary live in Downingtown and have two sons, Zach and Adam. Between the two, they have three grandchildren. Steve is still active in his professional organization and his master’s program at Penn State, as well as several local organizations.
Rick has been a member of Westminster for more than 45 years. Rick and his wife, Karen live in Downing-town and have three children. He has taught Sunday school, helped with youth groups, and served on various boards and committees through the years. Rick has been involved in real estate development and construction for 35 years.
Janet has been a member of Westminster for 20 years. Jan and her daughter, Alisa live in West Chester. She has served as a Sunday school teacher and has participated in programs at Westminster involving estates and the elderly. Janet is an elder law attorney with her practice in West Chester at Colliton Elder Law Assocs., PC. Janet and Alisa have a cat, Frances, and a spoiled miniature Schnauzer, Mario. They love to travel.
Ross grew up in Westminster and was active with the youth group. He moved away after high school, returned and rejoined WPC in 1988. He has been active with Long Range Planning, Stewardship, Personnel Committee, Habitat for Humanity and Living Waters in the World missions. He and his wife Jane live in Kennett Square.
John has been a member of Westminster for four years. He has served Westminster as a trustee. John and his wife Diane live in West Chester and have two children and six grandchildren. John is retired from the DuPont Company and enjoys golf and his grandchildren.
Paul Larson has been a member of Westminster for 25 years. He has served the church as an Elder and Trustee, chaired the stewardship committee, served on the planning committee, three capital campaign committees, two Associate Pastor nominating com-mittees and the Preschool board. He also served as treasurer of Serving at the Crossroads in its early years. A retired investment manager, he resides in Kennett Square with his wife Carolyn.
Joan has been a member of Westminster for 50 years and was baptized by Rev. Robert Boell. Joan lives in West Goshen with her daughter, Jenna and their dog, Angel. She currently is a member of the handbell choir, has co-chaired the Dinner for 8 group for several years, has helped with Sunday School, VBS and was part of the Building and Design Committee that built the current Westminster location. Joan is an Area Vice President, Account Strategy at Komodo Health, and enjoys traveling, reading, and being at the beach.
Ann has been a member of Westminster since July 2015. She lives in West Chester and has one beautiful granddaughter thanks to her son and daughter-in-law. She is a grateful volunteer at Westminster in a number of roles including Trustee and member of Adult Spiritual Growth. She is a promotional strategist for GLS. Ann also volunteers on Vision Quest – Expand Our Witness, the library and is a member of the women’s Tuesday morning Bible study. She also volunteers with the YWCA of Delaware Finance Committee. Ann is an adjunct professor at St. Joseph’s University’s Haub School of Business. Her favorite hobbies are cooking and entertaining.
Greg has been a member of Westminster for over 20 years. He lives in West Chester with his wife, Andrene, and two children: Jen, a recent graduate of the U of Delaware; and Christopher, a freshman at the U of Delaware. Greg served as a member of the Worship & Arts team for five years. He currently works as Business Development Director for Former Operating Sites at Chemours, a spin-out company of DuPont. He enjoys music (playing piano and occasionally, pipe organ) and spending time at the Jersey shore.
