Betsy Ballantyne has been a member of Westminster for 42 years (with an 18-year hiatus while her late husband, Rev. David Ballantyne, was pastoring churches). Betsy has served Westminster as a youth advisor and currently as an elder. (She lives in Elverson with her Blue Heeler, Syd, and near her son David and her daughter Liza's family of husband Albert and grandsons Aiden, Ben, and Blake.) Betsy taught school for 37 years, 34 of them for Chester County Intermediate Unit. She enjoys antiquing, refurbishing furniture, cooking, traveling, quilting, and recycling and repurposing old things into useful and attractive new ones, and, of course, riding her horse, Mandarin.
Rick has been a member of Westminster for more than 45 years. Rick and his wife, Karen. He has taught Sunday school, helped with youth groups, and served on various boards and committees through the years. Rick has just completed two terms as a trustee and is currently in charge of the Property Committee. Rick and his wife, Karen live outside of Downingtown with their three children (all currently in college) where Rick is involved in real estate development and construction.
R.B. and his wife Claudia have been members of Westminster for 10 years and R.B. has worked with the Academy for several of those years. He is very active with Serving at the Crossroads stating that he “left for his first trip to Honduras a ‘church Christian’ and returned devoted to service to Him.” He and Claudia have three children and R.B. recently retired from his position of Professor of OB-GYN at Jefferson Medical College having spent many years as an active academic physician. R.B. is looking forward to continuing his services as an Elder at Westminster.
Chris has been a member of Westminster for 14 years. Chris and his wife Kim live in West Chester and have three children, Audrey, Grady, and Noah. He has served Westminster as an Elder, CREDO Leader and Usher. Chris is a Partner at Blue Rock Financial Group.
Diane has attended Westminster for 18 years and been a member of Westminster for about 10 years. In addition to serving as a deacon, Diane has been a member of the communion committee, the thrift shop board, the Westminster anti-human trafficking advocacy working group, and Family Promise. Diane and husband Brian live in West Chester and have three dogs and four cats. Diane is an attorney in the Law department of CertainTeed Corporation in Malvern. She enjoys reading, walking, travel, the theater, and volunteer work.
Laura has attended Westminster for 15 years and has served Westminster on the Children’s Spiritual Growth committee, the Youth Vision Team, Family Promise, and as a Vacation Bible School leader and a Sunday school teacher. She and her husband Bill live in Chester Springs and have three children Matthew, Alex, and Olivia. Laura is a stay-at-home mom and enjoys walking and going to the beach.
Angela Emrich has been a member of Westminster for 15 years and has served on Outreach and the Youth Vision Team and as a music leader for Vacation Bible School. She volunteers for the Giving Tree, Safe Harbor, Rise Hunger Now; helps with the hygiene kit collection; and has participated in mission trips to Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., and Honduras. Angela and her husband Eric live in West Chester and have three children, Brianna, Daniella, and Ryan. She is a stay-at-home mom who enjoys exercising, reading, and traveling.
Gary has been a member of Westminster for over 30 years. Gary currently serves on the nominating committee, hosts a bi-weekly small group at his home, coordinates a team for Good Works, and co-teaches high school Sunday school. Gary works at Ampro Sports in Delaware County and enjoys spending time with his four children and five grandchildren.
Colin has been a member of Westminster for three years, and in that time he has served Westminster on the Outreach and Adult Spiritual Growth committees, the Living Waters team, and occasionally plays in the Contemporary Worship Band. Colin and his wife Dana live in West Chester and have three children; Elena, Georgia, and Harrison. Colin is a Vice President of Distributed Energy at Brightmark Energy and enjoys music, soccer, and basketball.
Ed was born and raised in a Westminster family and has served Westminster in numerous positions—as a youth leader, Chancel Choir president, trustees president, and currently, Clerk of Session. He has also helped with planning and Sunday school. In addition, Ed was co-chair of the committee that facilitated Westminster’s move from West Chester borough to our current location. Ed and his wife Diane live in East Bradford Township and have two sons, Chris and Ben. Ed is a vice president at Woolridge Organization at Hershey’s Mill and enjoys model railroads, tennis, walking, and hiking.
Roger has been a member of Westminster for 18 years. He has served Westminster as a head usher and co-coordinator of the usher teams. Roger and his wife Suzanne live in Kennett Square and have 8 children and 13 grandchildren. Roger is a teacher/administrator at Devon Preparatory School and enjoys spending time at the shore, playing golf, and working on home repairs.
Barb has been a member of Westminster for nearly 20 years. She plays in the Handbell Choir and has served Westminster as a trustee, a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Worship and Arts team. Barb and her husband Rob live in Pennsbury Township and have three grown children. Recently retired from the University of Delaware, Barb enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking, and travel.
Terri has been a member of Westminster for a year. Terri and Joseph live in Wilmington, Delaware and have two sons, Thomas and Zachary. Terri is serving on the Women’s Retreat planning team and attends Bible study. Terri also enjoys mission work, volunteers at the Rise Against Hunger program and has gone to Honduras with Serving at the Crossroads. Terri enjoys hiking, cooking and photography.
Geoff has been a member of Westminster since high school. He has served on the personnel committee, the Youth Vision Team and as a frequent volunteer at youth events. He and his wife Laureen live just outside West Chester borough and have three adult children: Maggie, Caity, and Matthew. Geoff has worked at Vanguard for the past fifteen years and enjoys biking, weekends in Ocean City, Philadelphia sports teams, and hanging out with family and friends.
Gail has been a member of Westminster for 22 years. She has participated at Westminster as an elder, trustee, and as a member of the Celebrate Recovery leadership team and the Outreach and APNC committees. Gail and her husband Scott live in Eagleview. She is a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley and enjoys music, gardening, sewing, decorating, working out, and going to the beach.
Burt Rothenberger has been a member of Westminster for over 30 years. Burt has served on Westminster’s Outreach committee, and currently he serves on the church personnel and advocacy committees and leads the Saturday Men’s Spiritual Growth Group. He and his wife Gail live in Pocopson and have two grown children and two grandchildren. Burt is retired and enjoys gardening, tennis, and volunteering.
Dan has been a member of Westminster for ten years. Dan and his wife Carol live in Kennett Square and have two children and five grandchildren. He has served Westminster as a member of the Personnel Committee and is currently an usher. Dan is a retired Senior Vice President from Montgomery Hospital (now Einstein Medical Center Montgomery). He enjoys golf, travel, reading and the Tuesday Morning Men’s Group.
Paul has been a member of Westminster for 20 years. Paul and Susan live in West Chester and have two daughters, Julia and Kristina. He has served Westminster on the Nominating Committee, Dilworthtown start-up team, in the sound booth, a kitchen volunteer and youth chaperone. He participates in Men’s Fellowship, dinner group and small group Bible studies. Paul is a civil engineer and owns a Forensic Engineering Consulting company. He enjoys golf, dining, and live music.
Gloria has been a member of Westminster for 17 years. Gloria has served Westminster as a deacon, participated in chancel choir and the contemporary band, and has helped in the sound booth. She and her husband Ken live in Kennett Square and have four children, Kim, Brad, Victoria, and David. Gloria works as an equine cardiology technician at the University of Penn and enjoys music, nature, and seeking the Holy Spirit in everyone she meets.
Carolyn has been a member of Westminster for almost eight years. She lives in Exton and works as a Director in the Acquisitions Dept. of a local real estate company. She previously worked as a paralegal in the company’s Legal Department. She is currently a Stephen Minister and serves as an usher. Carolyn loves to spend time with her family (especially her four nieces and nephews), run (1/2 marathons are the race of choice), attend sporting events and concerts, write poems/rhymes, and do just about anything that involves organization and helping others.
Sam has been a member of Westminster for nine years. Sam and his spouse John live in Hershey’s Mill in West Chester. He currently serves Westminster as a faithful usher both on Sunday and for many of the special concerts. Sam volunteers at Broad Street Ministry. He enjoys gardening, travel, cooking and spending time with friends.
Jen has been a member of Westminster for 33 years and has served Westminster as a preschool board member, Sunday school teacher, and, currently, as a deacon. She has also helped with Vacation Bible School and other youth activities. Jen and her husband Scott live in West Chester and have three daughters, Madeline, Rachel, and Becca. Jen works part time for Birmingtham Township and enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Maddie has been a member of Westminster for three years and lives in West Chester. She has served as a deacon, has worked on the youth vision team, and helps in the nursery and with Vacation Bible School. She’s also participated in several mission trips, including the Pittsburgh Project, Philly Project, and Estado 29 orphanage in Mexico. Maddie is a senior at Unionville High School and has a part-time job working in food services at Kendell.
Susan has been a member of Westminster for 17 years. She has served Westminster as a deacon, six-year member on the Outreach committee, usher, communion preparer, Vacation Bible School volunteer, and leader of the Gleaning Garden and Creek Clean-Up. Sue and her husband Martin live in West Chester and have two cats, London and Tabitha. Sue is a dental hygienist and enjoys volunteering with Faithful Friends Animal Society, gardening, reading, skiing, and serving our Lord through the many opportunities WPC offers to express His love.
Dave has been a member of Westminster for 11 years. He has served Westminster as a ruling elder (now resting), and as a member of the Chancel Choir and the Worship and Arts committee. He’s also worked in the kitchen for a variety of events, including the Youth Auction, the Sweetheart’s Dinner, and several pancake suppers. He lives in West Chester and has one daughter, Brianna, who is a sophomore at Shippensburg University. Dave worked as a solar consultant with Direct Energy Solar. In his free time he enjoys cooking and golf.
Peg has been a member of Westminster for 15 years. She has served Westminster as a knitter, Bible school teacher, usher, greeter, and has volunteered with the West Chester Food Cupboard and Thrift Shop. Peg and husband Craig live in West Chester and have two children, Kyle and Melanie. She is a retired RN, and enjoys knitting, gardening, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Terry Hawkins has been a member of Westminster for 22 years. Terry has served Westminster as a deacon, usher, and kitchen worker. Terry and her husband Eric live in Dilworthtown with their cats, Jud and Prudie. They’re the parents of two grown children--daughter Anne and foster son Tommy. Terry is a medical laboratory scientist for the Christiana Care Health System. She also volunteers as a Girl Scout leader. She enjoys making all manner of things, from wedding cakes to houses.
Demaree Hopkins is an Exton resident who’s been a Westminster member for 10 years. She has served the church as a Sunday school teacher and a deacon.
Amy Gratch Hoyle has been a member of Westminster for 13 years. Amy lives with her two children, Chloe and Preston, and their dog in West Chester. She has served Westminster as a Sunday school teacher and a VBS volunteer. Amy is an assistant professor at Cabrini University and enjoys running, listening to music, and spending time outdoors with her children.
Jeanne has been a member of Westminster for seven years and has served Westminster as a Stephen Minister and deacon. She lives in Chadds Ford and has two children and one grandchild. Jeanne enjoys long walks with her giant dog, Apollo.
Nancy Krablin has been a member of Westminster for 37 years. Nancy and her husband, Larry live in Lionville and have two grown daughters, and two granddaughters, Abigail and Gretchen. She has served as a Nursery volunteer in the basement on Church St, a Sunday School teacher, on the Christian Education, and on the PNC for bring Don Lincoln to Westminster. With Larry, she has participated in many wonderful work camps to Garrett County, MD and on the Prospect Street Habitat for Humanity build in Coatesville, and continue to help create safe, affordable housing as members of a Good Works team. Nancy has served many full terms and several incomplete terms on the Board of Deacons. She is a retired Middle School Science teacher, thoroughly enjoying the freedom to plan her time, ride her bicycle throughout the county, create and fly kites, and enjoy our grandchildren.
Ann has been a member for 16 years and has served as a Sunday school teacher and helped with Vacation Bible School, Family Promise, communion preparation, and Sticky Bun Sunday. Ann and her husband Doug live in West Chester, PA. They have two daughters, Jacqueline, married to Jordan Paugh, and Heather. Ann is a statistician and enjoys reading, hiking, and volunteering with Meals on Wheels.
Doug Krebs been a member of Westminster for four years. Doug has served Westminster as a deacon and Sunday school teacher (kindergarten through middle school). He’s helped decorate for Vacation Bible School, packed lunches for Safe Harbor, helped out with Family Promise, gone on the Washington DC mission trip in 2016, picked a few veggies in the gleaning garden, and will be deacon secretary beginning in 2018. Douglas and his wife Ann live in West Chester, PA and have two children and one dog. Douglas is a mechanical engineer for Lockheed Martin in Coatesville, PA, at the Sikorsky plant. He enjoys travelling and spending time with family.
Dana has been a member of Westminster for 12 years. She has served Westminster as a deacon, an ambassador to Broad Street Ministry, Youth Group volunteer, handbell ringer, and fellowship organizer. She has also been involved with ParentCONNECTIONS, Worship in the Homes, the women's retreat committee, and Family Promise. Dana and her husband Craig live in West Chester and have three wonderful sons, Patrick, Evan and Sergei. Dana is a director of business development at AssuranceMD and enjoys biking, traveling, and Ocean City, NJ.
Kathie has attended Westminster for the past two years. She served as a Deacon and a Parish Nurse before joining Westminster. She has been a nurse for 41 years and has worked at Chester County Hospital for the past 36 years. Kathie is married to Jim; they have three children and live in West Bradford. Kathie feels service to others is Sacred Work.
Grace has been a member of Westminster for three years. Grace and her husband Ken live in West Chester. They have three married children and six grandchildren. She serves on the New Member Committee. She is a Sunday greeter, helps with Family Promise, and Rise Against Hunger. Grace is a retired middle school teacher and enjoys reading, walking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Betsy has been a member of Westminster for two years. She lives in West Goshen and has two adult children and three grandchildren. Betsy serves on the Library, New Members, and Thrift Shop Committees and has joined the Wednesday Morning Bible Study. Betsy retired after 25 years as an administrative assistant with the West Chester Area School District. She volunteers at the Brandywine Auxiliary of Penn Chester County Hospital, and enjoys taking classes at Immaculata University, reading, and gardening.
Susan is a deacon and has been a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church since 2008. She has served Westminster as a deacon since 2014, a Stephen Minister since 2013, and a youth volunteer since 2010. Susan is married to Bill (“Millsy”) and they live in West Chester. They have two children, Christina, 23, and Ryan, 17. Susan is an assistant professor of nursing at Widener University and enjoys spending time with her family, nature, and reading.
Marty has been a member of Westminster for six years. He has served Westminster as a deacon, deacon moderator, and a leader of the Saturday Morning Men’s Bible group. He is also active in the Armed Services Small Group Ministry. Marty and his wife Bonnie live in the Chalfonte section of Wilmington and have three children and three grandchildren. Now retired, Marty worked as sales engineer for multiple companies. He enjoys hiking with the Wilmington Trail Club, music, and Life Long Learning at Osher.
Carol lives in West Chester and has been a member of Westminster for 28 years. She has served Westminster as a deacon and is currently a counter, greeter, kitchen volunteer, and member of the Thursday morning circle and Lunch Bunch. Carol is Tax Prep and Financal Manager at Hoover Financial Advisors. Carol enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Deb Randall has been a member of Westminster for 36 years. She has served Westminster as a PNC committee member, Sunday school teacher, deacon, Vacation Bible School teacher, choir member, and Stephen Minister. Deb and husband Everett live in West Chester and have two children, Sara and Richard. Deb is a retired Chichester School District teacher and enjoys biking, swimming, kayaking, and zip lining.
Joan has been a member of Westminster for 36 years. She’s served as a deacon for 12 years and has held membership on both the Outreach and Adult Spiritual Growth committees. Joan and her husband Bob live in Lima Estates and have five children: Deb, Jay, Holly, Dean and Rob. Joan is a retired Lankenau Hospital nurse and now enjoys working at Community Volunteers in Medicine, helping out at Westminster, and gardening.
Cindy Rietz has been a Westminster member for 25 years. Cindy was a choir member from 1991-2015 and hopes to return. She proudly serves as a deacon, co-leading and providing music for Worship in the Homes. She's a member of the Women's Retreat planning committee, serving as their music minister. A widow, she recently retired from teaching special ed. music at the Delaware County Intermediate Unit. She plans to substitute teach for a while and volunteer to help organize the DCIU annual prom/community outreach event. Cindy resides in West Chester with her son AJ. Her family also includes three adult stepchildren and their families. She enjoys attending live concerts, bands, dancing, boating/sailing, riding motorcycles, live theatre, anything to do with water/ beach, walking, and nature.
Nancy has been a life long Presbyterian teaching Sunday school and volunteering during VBS. Nancy has been a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years working her way from pediatrics to geriatrics. She has always had a great sense of faith, care, respect, and humility in everything that she does, while keeping a smile on her face, and trying to put one on everyone she encounters. With God’s help, she hopes she will be a reflection of His love and an asset to Westminster through her role as a Deacon.
Sally has been a member of Westminster for 22 years. She has served Westminster as a deacon and with Westminster’s prayer shawl ministries and KidsJAM. She has also volunteered at Vacation Bible School, ushered, and collected for the food cupboard. Sally and David live in Pocopson and have two adult children, Julie and Sarah, and a Westie named Angus. Sally is a retired ???? and enjoys her five granddaughters.
Nancy and her husband Bob have been members of Westminster since 1995 and Nancy has served as an usher the entire time. She enjoys making Christmas Eve dinners for the Chancel Choir and serving dinners at Safe Harbor. Nancy has many years of catering experience both privately and commercially and feels she can contribute and assist in many of Westminster’s fellowship functions. Nancy and Bob have one son, Matt who is married to Angela, and two grandchildren, John and Lila. She is very honored to be considered as a candidate for deacon.
Bill has attended Westminster for two years. Bill has served Westminster through Family Promise, helping in the kitchen, serving communion, and greeting people on Sunday morning. Bill and Flourence live in West Chester. Flourence has three children and four grandchildren. Bill has two children, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Bill is retired as an Executive Search? at Tyler and Co. He enjoys gardening, reading, and gourmet cooking.
Susan has been a member of Westminster for 20 years. Susan and Paul live in West Chester and have two daughters, Julia and Kristina. She has served Westminster as a Sunday School teacher, KidsJAM helper, Youth Vision Team member, trip chaperone, and VBS volunteer. She is on the Nominating and Family Promise committees. She has participated in WPW Monday morning Circle, dinner group, small group studies, and Bridge of Hope mentoring team. Susan was a case manager for adults with disabilities and works part-time “keeping the books” for Paul’s business. She enjoys reading, spending time with family, volunteering, and attending events in the community.
Mary Jane Anders has been a member of Westminster for 28 years. She has served Westminster as a trustee and usher and as a member of the preschool board, Worship and Arts team, nominating committee, and communion team. Mary Jane and her husband Bruce live in Pocopson and have eight children and three grandchildren: Evelyn, Kaiser, and Leland. Mary Jane works as an SAP integration lead and service delivery manager at The Chemours Company. She enjoys gardening, antiquing, and playing the piano.
Scott has been a long-time attendee of Westminster and a member for more than seven years. He has served Westminster as a trustee and member of the property committee for over five years. Scott and his wife Jennifer live in West Chester and have three daughters, Maddie, Rachel, and Becca. Scott is in the Store Development Group at Wawa, Inc. where he has managed the Petroleum Operations Group and now the Facilities Team for nearly 20 years. He is also a township supervisor for Birmingham Twp., PA. Scott enjoys softball and boating.
Herb has been a member of Westminster for five years and has served Westminster as an usher and is currently a trustee. He and his partner Pam live in Birmingham Township. Herb has four children and five grandchildren. He recently retired and has started a business consulting practice. Herb enjoys boating, golf, and travel.
Janet has been a member of Westminster for 18 years. Jan and her daughter Alisa live in West Chester. She has served as a Sunday school teacher and has participated in programs at Westminster involving estates and the elderly. Janet is an elder law attorney with her practice in West Chester at Colliton Elder Law Assocs., PC. Janet and Alisa have a cat, Frances, and a spoiled miniature Schnauzer, Mario. They love to travel.
Ross grew up in Westminster and was active with the youth group. He moved away after high school, returned and rejoined WPC in 1988. He has been active with Long Range Planning, Stewardship, Personnel Committee, Habitat for Humanity and Living Waters in the World missions. He and his wife Jane live in Kennett Square.
Bob has been a member of Westminster for over ten years. He is currently an usher and serves as the trustee representative to the Preschool and to the Outreach committee. He and his wife Linda live in West Chester and have two adult daughters, Sarah and Emily. Bob is an associate at W. L. Gore and Associates, and enjoys golf, hiking, the beach, and reading.
John has been a member of Westminster for four years. He has served Westminster as a trustee. John and his wife Diane live in West Chester and have two children and six grandchildren. John is retired from the DuPont Company and enjoys golf and his grandchildren.
Gary and his wife Susan have been members of Westminster for 13 years. They have two children, Jason and Kelsey. Gary is a member of the choir and property committee. He and his family have gone to Honduras on several mission trips as well as Habitat for Humanity building projects. Gary helped with many remodeling projects at Westminster including the choir loft renovation.
Jay Mossman has been a member of Westminster for 17 years. He has served Westminster as a trustee, and a member of the church personnel and endowment committees. Jay and wife Nancy live in Newtown Square and have two children, Richard and Tiffany, and six grandchildren: Cole, Avery, Pierce, Colin, Mia, and Elle. Jay is CEO of North America for Temenos, a Swiss-based software firm, and enjoys golfing, woodworking, and being with family.
Jeff has been a member of Westminster for 22 years. He has served Westminster as a trustee and a member of the Chancel Choir and the property committee. Jeff and his wife Sue live in East Fallowfield, PA, and have four children. Jeff is a sales representative for Orgill (a distributor of hardware and home center supplies). When not working, he enjoys fishing and playing golf.
Bob has been a member of Westminster for 22 years and has served Westminster as an usher, choir member, and trustee. He and his wife Nancy live in Honey Brook and have one son, Matthew, and two grandchildren, John and Lila. Bob is a national account manager at Dart Container Corp, and enjoys music, writing, and golf, in that order.
Alison Wood lives in West Chester and has served Westminster as a soprano in the Chancel Choir and as a trustee. Alison is a senior financial advisor at Merrill Lynch and enjoys singing, reading, and spending time in Stone Harbor.
