As a result of the pandemic, Serving at the Crossroads (SATC) is trying to be creative and find alternative ways of raising funds to continue to supply medications and PPE for clinic patients in Honduras. SATC invites you to join in the celebration of Honduras Independence Day with a cooking class via Zoom on September 15 where you will learn to make sofritos and swordfish (or any protein of your choice). The class is led by acclaimed Honduran-born chef, Edwin Sandoval. You will also hear from Manos Amigas clinic staff who will share the work that has been going on at the clinic during COVID-19. The entire hospital system in Honduras has collapsed and people there are seeking out the clinic. Participants will also receive the recipe in advance via email so that they can shop for ingredients and cook along with the chef. Click here to register.
