WPW is part of a church-wide organization whose membership is open to all. Being a member at Westminster is not a prerequisite. Small circle groups for women meet monthly for Bible study and fellowship from September through May. The study for 2023/24 is Sacred Encounters: The Power and Presence of Jesus Christ in Luke-Acts. Luke and Acts were written by the same author as two volumes of the same book and designated Luke-Acts. In this nine-lesson study, we see that the message of Jesus Christ includes all people regardless of their race, class, gender, or sexuality. For Luke, Jesus Christ was an inclusive leader and Christianity was an inclusive movement. As we work through the study, the author invites us to consider how the twenty-first-century church can exhibit mercy and compassion within and beyond the traditional congregation.
