Hearing the Word Through the Words of John

Led by Dr. Manfred Brauch, Professor Emeritus of Biblical Theology and former President at Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University, this 4-Sunday series cannot be a comprehensive study of the entire Gospel of John. Rather, it will focus on:
- The uniqueness of this Gospel, when compared with the narratives of Jesus’ life, teaching and ministry presented in the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke)
- The reason(s) for that uniqueness, and its implications for our understanding of the nature of the biblical Word and words
- A survey and exploration of the major themes in this Gospel
- The challenge of this Gospel for Christian faith, life, community and presence in the world
