Thrift Shop Guidelines For Donations

We look forward to receiving your donations and thank you for recycling.

Donations are accepted during shop hours of operation or in containers in the storeroom in Spellman Hall at Westminster.

The Shop is open from the second week in September through the second week of June. 
Monday is a volunteer workday: 9am - 3pm (donations accepted)
Open for shopping: 
Monday: 1pm -4pm 
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday - 10am - 4pm
Saturdays: 9am - 1pm
We need volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please contact our Manager, Karen Koepke at 610-692-9298.

1) Clothing should be clean, pressed and in wearable condition. (No spots please.)Place on hangers when appropriate. Size should be attached when not otherwise indicated.

2) Garments in current season. (Our storage space is very limited!)
Fall and winter: September through January
Spring: February through March
Summer: March through May

3) Games, puzzles and toys: Due to new U.S. consumer regulations we are no longer able to accept TOYS and GAMES.

4) Small electrical appliances should be in working order.

5) No televisions, computers, stereos, typewriters, mattresses, flammable materials, skis, medical equipment or supplies, pillows, draperies, or blinds. All car seats and cribs should meet current safety standards.

Men's clothing in season. (NO suits please; they do not sell.)

New or nearly new shoes (Did you know that it takes 50 years in a landfill for a pair of leather shoes to disintegrate?)
