Who Are We?

We are often asked, "what does imago Dei mean and why did you name your ministry this?" In short, imago Dei is an ancient Latin phrase for "image of God," referring to God's creating all people in God's likeness (Genesis 1:26-28). Today's adolescents live in a world where the search for  identity has become increasingly complex.  It is our hope and prayer to remind one another that God has already given us an identity, the imago Dei, which we are called to live into as individuals and a community. As we seek to love, serve, and reflect God's story in our neighborhoods and the world, our youth ministry reminds youth over and again that we and all those around us bear the imago Dei

Imago Dei is the youth ministry community of Westminster Presbyterian Church   We strive to walk alongside high school and middle school youth as they continue to discover who they are and  who Jesus is calling them to be.  It is our hope and prayer that as youth encounter Jesus in new ways they would find themselves uniquely gifted and significant members of the body of Christ, called to witness to the work of Jesus as they live into God's dreams for the world.  We would love for you to come and be a part of Imago Dei Youth Ministry.

"So God created human beings in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."

-Genesis 1:27
