Chancel Choir

The renowned Westminster Chancel Choir, under the direction of Robert Morris, offers sacred music and spiritual inspiration to hundreds each week at Westminster.  In addition to singing at two worship services each week, the 100-voice Chancel Choir offers special programs and seasonal concerts throughout the year.

Acclaimed as one the finest choirs in Chester County, the Chancel Choir offers five "Christmas Joy" concerts each year to sold out crowds of several thousand visitors.  The Lenten season brings requiems from Brahms to Ellingboe and Scott.  In past seasons, the Chancel Choir presented Mozart's Requiem with the Kennett Symphony Orchestra.  Easter time is a favorite at Westminster, as the choir offers joyous music with voices and instruments in celebration of Christ's resurrection.  The Choir often rounds out the season with performances of Broadway favorites and inspirational music.

The Westminster Chancel Choir has brought its "Signature Sound" to the Kennedy Center, the National Cathedral and the Capitol in Washington, D.C., and to the United Nations in New York City.  The Choir has also appeared at cathedrals and venues throughout Europe, including the famous Salzburg Festival in Austria.

The Westminster Chancel Choir welcomes interested adult singers.  You are warmly invited to join this highly motivated and talented fellowship of singers devoted to Christ, and to take part in a most rewarding experience at Westminster.  Rehearsals are each Thursday evening September through May from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.   There are occasional Saturday morning rehearsals prior to special concerts or programs.  For more information about our music program, contact Bob Morris.
